Compassion & Choices of Indiana
Choice & Care at the End of Life

Our Indiana Chapter provides free talks about advance
directives (living wills and health care power of attorney),
end-of-life decisions, ethical wills (describing one's values
for descendants), and physician assisted dying as practiced
in Oregon.  We also can provide an interactive theater
program that presents real life family situations at the end
of life and stimulates questions and discussions about vital
issues. Our programs have been very well received at
universities, churches, senior groups, senior agencies,
service clubs and senior housing communities.

We also distribute free copies of advance directives
pertinent for Indiana residents.
Indiana Advance Directives
can also be downloaded from our national website of
Compassion & Choices.

We participate in health fairs with an information booth
about advance directives.  Free copies are distributed
which include detailed instructions.
For some, death comes without warning and pain is brief.
For others, death may come only after an agonizing,
protracted illness.  Compassion & Choices of Indiana
believes that we all deserve a peaceful death with dignity.
It defends the right of mentally competent adults to have
advance directives such as Living Wills and
Do-Not-Resuscitate orders, these defended by our Health
Care Power of Attorney representative.  Ultimately, our final
wishes should be clear, understood and honored by our
loved ones and health care providers.  Our organization
also promotes legalized physician aid in dying as practiced
in Oregon
.
